Bad Blogger...

Hello to all!! Yeah, I'm still here...I have been such a bad blogger for this short month of February. I've been busy with sick kids and a sick husband. I was doing the happy dance last Thursday because I didn't get the "Yuck" that has gone around my house twice and missed me both times. Then my chest starting hurting last Friday morning....and by the end of the night I barely had a voice. It's Day 7...and I barely have my voice back. I think my kids are the ones doing the happy dance now.

Things that have happened in February:

Eric & I actually celebrated Valentine's Day. We (meaning Eric) made my favorites for dinner: Grilled Shrimp, Lobster & Steak along with Mashed Potatoes and Yummy Asparagus. It beats going out and waiting at a restaurant for 3 hours. I also managed to drink a whole bottle of wine all by myself - I'm not sure if that's an accomplishment though.

The small town of Winfield where we live is getting bigger by the day! When we first moved out here the population sign read 752....Well....it still says that, BUT there must be more people living here because not only have we gotten our our IGA Grocery store, 2 banks (why 2??) and a Medical Building. Drum roll please.....we now have a DOLLAR GENERAL!! YAHOO!!! We weren't the first ones in the door on the Grand Opening Day, but you can only imagine what a big deal this is for us. It's almost like having a Wal-Mart, but 100,000 sq ft smaller!!

I've started my own Bunco Group!! We had our first game the Friday that I started feeling sick. By the way if any of the ladies who were there are reading this and are now sick...I'm sorry...you may want to buy some DayQuil and Mucinex...It was such a blast though. I can't wait until we get together next month. In the meantime I'll continue to remind my mom that the game is called BUNCO, not BINGO, DINGO or DUNKO!! She kept us in stitches the whole night screaming out the wrong game name.

So not much else has really happened this month, but I'll do a much better job in keeping up with the blog.
