Well, I will first start off by saying...sorry for being a slacker about the blog..again. I talked to my brother last Friday and he said that he hasn't heard any updates from his wife. Special hello to my sister-in-law Lisa!!
We are are in the middle of Birthday Bonanza. Patrick turned 7 years old - I really wish he wouldn't grow up so fast. He's 7 going on 17. His party was a success. We had it at Planet Fun this year. It's like a huge Rat Maze made especially for children - It's awesome! Since I have pins holding my right knee together I opted out of running around with the kids. I totally would have been the mom up playing with all of the kids initiating some sort of game of freeze tag. Surprisingly, for a Saturday, it seemed that we almost had the whole place to ourselves. It's located in a shopping center; the party room we had faced the parking lot, so we had huge windows to look out of..or should I say so people could look into a see a bunch of kids hopped up fruit punch bouncing all over the room.
Patrick is A.D.D - he had his classic A.D.D. moment in the party room. The Planet Fun "party helper" asked us if we wanted to do presents first or cake? I turned to look at Patrick and he's literally jumping up and down in his seat screaming "PRESENTS! PRESENTS!! PRE...Oh, look a bird!!" as he pointed out the window. My sister-in-law, Jamie, and I couldn't contain our laughter. It reminded us both of the dog from the movie Disney Movie UP, "I must obey my master - SQUIRREL!!" if you haven't seen the movie, you need to. It is HI-larious.
I secretly will sit at my desk and laugh out loud reminiscing about this moment..
