Another student at school recommended taking speech during the summer semester. He told me that there were only 3 people in his class last summer and it was super easy! I like easy. I figured the school was already small enough, usually a full class was 8-10 people. I showed up for speech class - do you know how many people were there? Twelve (12) people!! I was really hoping a few on them would have dropped the class....darn my anxiety!! None of them dropped the class. I don't know what my deal is with speaking in front of large groups of people. Sometimes I do good and sometimes I want to throw up.
The last eight weeks must have been the longest and probably the most stressful eights weeks that I have endured so far at school. This was also the reason why there haven't been any updates from me. Sorry!! Eric quickly figured out why this semester I only took one class. I was so happy and relieved the night I gave my last speech. I went home and sat down in my recliner with a bottle of wine and caught up on one of my favorite shows "Cougar Town".
Overall, I'm happy to report that I gave a speech EVERY night of class and I didn't throw up on anyone. YAHOO!! I'm officially done with speech class. Now I'm anxiously awaiting my final grade. I strive for 'A's, 'B's are okay, 'C's are NOT cool, but in this class I'll take whatever is passing....just please don't make me have to repeat this class!
From my perspective, it's smooth sailing from here...
