I remember checking into the hospital early that morning and I ended up in the same exact room that I had Wyatt just 17 months earlier. Quintin was my only pregnancy that my water had broken on its own - granted I was already in the hospital on Potosin, but the doctor didn't have to physically break it. Just for the record - that was one of the many things that was not described very well or in any detail in my "What to Expect When Expecting" book. I also figured: Heck this was my third baby, I'm sure labor will be fast and painless. Boy was I wrong! I think my labor with Quin was worse than all three and I DID have all drugs that were readily available. I'm not trying to prove myself to anyone. That was one of my first requests when I checked into the hospital.
I also remember the doctor coming in checking me and saying to me "Oh, you'll be about half hour or so. I'm going to go eat my breakfast & take a nap." My mom, mother-in-law and I all looked at each other in amazement - 1. That he could eat at time like this; and 2. Oh don't worry I'm sure we can handle the delivery....go rest! WHAT?!
Not even 5 minutes later they called him away from his breakfast because the nurse had pretty much delivered Quintin....so that's my Labor of Love story with Quintin.
We opted to celebrated Quintin's birthday this past Sunday. Here's a video from our celebration:
My dad said that "We must have sounded pretty bad to make him run away like that. I guess he's not used to being the center of attention?" I find that hard to believe.
Also, here are some pictures that I took.

It didn't take him long to warm up to the "Birthday Boy" routine. I can't believe my baby is 2 years old - where did the time go?
