Today, Eric (a/k/a Obie One when it comes to cars)...had his own share of bad luck with one our cars. My POS Dodge's tire blew out while he was driving down highway 70. I felt really bad when he told me, but I was secretly happy to learn that it wasn't just me that has bad luck with cars!!
Speaking of cars, I guess it really bothered Eric that the front bumper on the van was hanging off. It bothered me at first, but I got over it when I realized how quickly and easily I could spot the Dodge coming out of any store. You don't realize how many mini-van drivers there are until you own one. The kids and I actually have attempted our own game - instead of slug bug it's "hey mom there's another van just like ours"... what can I say, I try to stay away from the sluggin' thing. It never seems to end well.
Anyhow, Eric decided to get my van all nice and spiffy. He put on a new front fender, hood along with going around the entire van buffing out the scratches. I'll try and post some before and after pictures if I can find any. Eric even sent it to the detail shop. I was so glad that he did - it really needed it. I would love to stick to the no eating in the car rule, but sometimes I just can't help it. In turn, every once in awhile I end up playing 'Find the Nasty...' smell that is...I hate this game.
So what did I do in honor of getting my pretty van back? Took the boys by the snow cone stand, and yeah we did eat them in the car...I'm bad...
