What was I thinking??

Last Saturday I took Patrick & Wyatt to Karate. Patrick has his Yellow Belt and is in the Level I Karate Class. Wyatt is in the Lil' Kickers Class. Since Wyatt was sick the week before this was his first class. Not mention the first time I had left him in the supervision of someone other than a family member. The week before I had been talking up Karate so that he would be excited. I had imagined myself taking him to class and having to pry him off of my leg. Who was I kidding? My little social butterfly was the first one on the mat. He was doing somersaults and spinning around in circles. The Instructor, Mr. Hoskins, kept saying "Sir, if you're going to be on my mat you must listen to directions"..."Sir, lets stand like a statue" ..."Sir, no jumping on the mat"..."Sir, come sit down please" "Sir...Sir...". The class was only a half an hour long, but I think by the end he started getting the idea of what was going on. I can't wait for next week.

After watching the boys' in their Karate classes it inspired to do something to physical. I've been pretty frustrated with myself lately. I may or may not have approximately 35 lbs. that I need to lose. (A lady never reveals her weight.) I've been bored with my normal workout routine and it obviously isn't working too well. So I decided to swing into Target after Karate and checkout the sporting goods section...$150 later we left, and I went home with some weights, an aerobics ball, a few jump ropes and a whole bunch of stuff I thought I needed.

When I got home I decided to begin my new workout routine. I had it all planned out in my head: I would start with Jumping Rope and move on to some free weights and end with ball exercises. I figured I could jump rope outside while the boys played. Not even 10 jumps into it I was already stopping to taking a break. My thoughts "Man, I sure can feel EVERYTHING when I jump. That's not right? Whew...my knees sure hurt already...Did my ass just hit the back of my head??" I got back to it. Determined as ever. I started to go really fast and I was feeling good. I was imaging myself as Rocky in training. And then..... I peed my pants....also...another thing after having 3 kids...your bladder control isn't the greatest. Not only do I have to be careful when sneezing, coughing and laughing...I now have to remember to be careful when jumping...UGH!! After that I was pretty disgusted and decided to call it a day with jump roping and go take a shower.
