New Years Eve

For the first time in many years, we actually had options of places to go for New Years. Oh how things change when you get older and start a family.

When Eric & I began to realize that we weren't invincible we enforced "Designated Drinking Night". Eric got Fridays and I got Saturdays. Being young, stupid and living in San Diego, we took every opportunity to party and have fun. Our New Years' celebrations used to involve our fellow Marine Corps friends, my personal friend Capt. Morgan, and beer....lots of beer. I remember our last New Years Eve in San Diego when Eric was able to keep the longest Kegg Stand record amongst our friends. Ahh...I was so proud...not so proud when he threw up everywhere on the way home. Those were the days... the days that are a bit fuzzy now that I think about it.

Fast forward a few years and I have been either pregnant of breastfeeding. Our New Year's Eve celebrations consisted of us staying home. If we were really lucky, we would be able to stay awake till midnight and see the ball drop.

This year we had my brother and his family come up from Oklahoma. Eric's brother, George, was getting married on New Years Eve, and we were invited to another friends house. What were we to do? Well, it was kind of hands down - Go to the wedding. It was a low-key family event. I wasn't very good at taking pictures, but here are a few pictures from the wedding.

Beth & George were married by Uncle Dave.

Exchanging of the rings.

My new niece, Olivia.

Ashish & Hetal were able to make it. Hetal actually came early to the wedding and gave all of us ladies Henna tattoos. It was really awesome.
